Amine Bouhouche joined the department of Geoscience and Petroleum at NTNU as PhD student on October the 1st, 2018. He will be working on the Work Package dedicated to Microfluidics and field studies for PoreLab. His supervisor is Ole Torsæter (professor, IGP, NTNU) and his co-supervisor is Knut Jørgen Måløy (Professor, FYS, UiO). Amine has a BSc in petroleum engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (Algeria) and an MSc in petroleum engineering from NTNU. The title of his PhD is “Pore-scale laboratory experiments and modelling of fluid flow in porous media“. His project is part of PoreLab’s Work Package 6 which aims to establish new methods of describing wettability in porous media using micro-CT and micromodels. In addition, characterize multiphase flow in different wetting standard relations to trapping.
