PhD Research Fellowship in theoretical/computational porous media physics at PoreLab – Center of Excellence

A position as PhD Research fellow in theoretical/computational porous media physics is available at the Center of Excellence PoreLab at The Department of Physics, University of Oslo.

No one can be appointed for more than one PhD Research Fellowship period at the University of Oslo.

If the successful candidate has a good knowledge of one Scandinavian language (Norwegian, Swedish, Danish), the fellowship will be for a period of 4 years, with 25 % compulsory work (teaching at the Department of Physics). Otherwise, the fellowship will be for a period of 3 years, with no compulsory work. Starting date, no later than 01.09.2019.

PoreLab is looking for PhD and postdoctoral candidates with whom applications will be submitted to Fridtjof Nansens Fond, VISTA and FINS fellowships.

The PhD positions are normally for three years and the postdoctoral positions are for two years. Interested candidates can send their short CV and 2 page Research Proposal (in one of the areas of interests for PoreLab) to the Principal Investigators.

Fridtjof Nansens Fond til Videnskabens Fremme.

Fridtjof Nansens Fond til Videnskabens Fremme calls for applications. An important part of the Nansen Fund’s activities is the reward of outstanding scientific activity by awarding Fridtjof Nansen’s reward for outstanding research in the fields of Humanities and Social Sciences and within the field of research in the natural sciences and Medicine, as well as Fridtjof Nansen’s reward for younger researchers.

Fellows Initiative Natural Sciences (FINS).

The Faculty of Natural Sciences at NTNU has set up the FINS initiative to support excellent junior scientists from outside Norway who plan to submit applications for independent research fellowships (such as Marie Sklodowska Curie Action (MSCA) Individual Fellowships, etc.) in order to pursue an academic research career. Deadline for application is 12th of  April 2018.
